Six small cups in fine porcelain with gold detailing, to serve everyone at the table. Use them for Chinese tea or Arabic coffee.
Six small cups for a house that fills up.
The story
Open house at Raya, the front door never closed, and a fresh round poured for every guest who walks in. Or a long family afternoon over Chinese tea, the cups refilled before they are even empty. Malaysia has always shared its tea and coffee generously.
Our small cups are made for that generosity, from quick pours of Chinese tea to Arabic coffee taken a few sips at a time. Each carries the bunga raya in bloom and the bunga tampuk manggis in gold on fine porcelain, because the simplest cup offered to a guest deserves to be beautiful.
With six to a set, there is always one more for whoever arrives next. Given to a family that loves to gather, it becomes the set they reach for every time the house fills up. Every cup poured is a welcome.
The piece
- Six small cups, each 6.5 cm wide and 5 cm high
- Fine porcelain with gold detailing
- Arrives in a Casa Aseana gift box with a bamboo handle, ready to give.
Living with it
For open houses and long family afternoons, when the tea keeps coming. They are just as at home with Chinese tea as with Arabic coffee served to guests. Pair them with the Teapot Set for a complete gift for the host.
Six to share
Each set comes as six small cups, enough for the whole table. Six makes a generous gift for a family home, a host who is always pouring for one more guest, or a couple about to welcome everyone for their first Raya open house. Together with the Teapot Set, it is everything needed for tea for six.
Every piece is packed and padded securely in its own fitted place inside the gift box, so it arrives just as it left us. Each box also holds a small sachet of silica gel. It absorbs moisture inside the closed box, keeping the porcelain, the gold detailing and the box itself dry and fresh while it travels and while it is stored, which matters in our humid climate. The sachet is not edible: once the gift is unpacked, please remove it and throw it away, out of reach of children and pets.
Hand wash only, with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. The gold detailing is fired onto the finished glaze, so keep it out of the dishwasher, microwave and oven, and avoid abrasive scourers and bleach. Store with care so the pieces do not knock together. See our Care Guide.
