A pair of teacups and saucers in fine porcelain with gold detailing, for the morning cup or an afternoon shared.
Two cups and two saucers: an invitation to sit down together.
The story
In many Malaysian homes, the afternoon belongs to minum petang: the kettle on at four, a plate of kuih on the table, and whoever is home drawn in for a cup and the news of the day. It is a small ritual, repeated every day, and it is how families stay close.
Our teacups and saucers are made for that hour: the motifs once kept for the grandest days, now at your afternoon cup. Each cup carries the pucuk rebung, the same songket motif at the centre of our teapot, a symbol of life traced in gold, so the cups and the pot come to the table as one. The bunga raya blooms on the saucer beneath, and the gold detailing catches the light each time the cup is lifted.
Given as a pair, it brings that ritual into someone else’s afternoon: to parents who still keep the four o’clock pot, to a colleague you want to thank, or to family far from home who miss the taste of it. Add the Teapot Set, and minum petang is ready to be served.

Living with it
For the morning cup taken slowly by the window, and the afternoon when a friend drops by and the kettle goes on again. As a gift, it suits a valued client or colleague, a couple setting up their first home, or someone living far away, so each morning begins with a little of Malaysia.
A gift for two
Each set comes as a pair: two teacups and two saucers. A pair makes a natural gift, because a cup of tea is better shared. Give it to newlyweds or a couple setting up their first home, to parents who take their morning tea together, or to two friends who always meet over a pot. It is a quiet way of saying that someone has a place at your table, and that the second cup is for them.
Every piece is packed and padded securely in its own fitted place inside the gift box, so it arrives just as it left us. Each box also holds a small sachet of silica gel. It absorbs moisture inside the closed box, keeping the porcelain, the gold detailing and the box itself dry and fresh while it travels and while it is stored, which matters in our humid climate. The sachet is not edible: once the gift is unpacked, please remove it and throw it away, out of reach of children and pets.
Hand wash only, with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. The gold detailing is fired onto the finished glaze, so keep it out of the dishwasher, microwave and oven, and avoid abrasive scourers and bleach. Store with care so the pieces do not knock together. See our Care Guide.
