The story
Every Raya, the same teapot came out of the glass cabinet, the one kept only for guests, and the whole house knew visitors were on their way. Long after they had gone home, it was the teapot we remembered: family and friends gathered around it, the bonds every Malaysian household is built on.
Ours is made to become that teapot for the next generation. At its centre is the pucuk rebung, the bamboo-shoot motif of songket, traced in gold on fine porcelain. It has long stood as a symbol of life, which is why it belongs at the heart of a table where families gather. The bunga raya blooms beside it, and its own sugar bowl and creamer keep everything the host needs to hand.
As a gift, it carries those memories into a new home: to newlyweds laying their first table, to the parent who hosts every Raya, to the friend who always keeps the pot warm. Pair it with the six small cups for the complete gift, ready for the first gathering and every one after.

Living with it
Made for afternoon tea at home and for the guests who stay for a second cup. Pair it with the six small cups for a gift to the host who welcomes everyone.
Every piece is packed and padded securely in its own fitted place inside the gift box, so it arrives just as it left us. Each box also holds a small sachet of silica gel. It absorbs moisture inside the closed box, keeping the porcelain, the gold detailing and the box itself dry and fresh while it travels and while it is stored, which matters in our humid climate. The sachet is not edible: once the gift is unpacked, please remove it and throw it away, out of reach of children and pets.
Hand wash only, with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. The gold detailing is fired onto the finished glaze, so keep it out of the dishwasher, microwave and oven, and avoid abrasive scourers and bleach. Store with care so the pieces do not knock together. See our Care Guide.
