Our refill service for your Porcelain Candle: send us the empty jar and we pour a fresh candle into it, in Seri Bunga Raya or Morning Bamboo.

The refill
When your Porcelain Candle has burned down, keep the jar. Send it back to us and we will pour a fresh candle into it, in the scent of your choice, and return it to you ready to light again. The porcelain stays with you for years; only the candle is renewed.
How it works
- Order your refill here and choose your scent.
- Email us a photo of your empty jar at customercare@casaaseana.com, with your order number. Once we have seen it, we will reply with the address to send it to.
- Post the jar to us, packed in its original gift box so it travels safely. Keep the lid at home. There is no need to clean out the old wax; we will do that for you. Postage to us is paid by you.
- We pour your fresh candle. Preparing and setting the wax takes about a week from the day your jar arrives, and then we send it back to you. Delivery back to you is charged at checkout, like any order.
The scents
Seri Bunga Raya
Hibiscus with a hint of vanilla
Seri Bunga Raya takes its name from the bunga raya, the hibiscus chosen as Malaysia’s national flower in 1960, and the same bloom that flowers across our porcelain. Soft floral notes rest on a warm hint of vanilla. Light it when the table is set, in a quiet guest room, or give it with a little of Malaysia in it.
Morning Bamboo
Freshly cut bamboo, like the scent of the first hour of the day
Morning Bamboo is the scent of the first hour of the day: freshly cut bamboo, clean and green, with the cool, polished calm of a luxury hotel lobby. Across Southeast Asia, bamboo has long been part of daily life, woven into walls, baskets and the homes of the region. Light it with the first coffee, at a desk by the window, or in any room that needs a lighter air.

- For the Porcelain Candle jar only: you send us the empty jar, and we refill it and send it back
- Available in Malaysia only for now
- If your jar is damaged on its way to us, we will contact you to refund your refill or put it towards a new Porcelain Candle

For the first light, let the wax melt right to the edge, usually 2 to 3 hours, then burn for no more than 4 hours at a time. Trim the wooden wick to about 3 mm before lighting, keep the candle away from draughts, children and pets, and never leave it unattended. Stop when about 1 cm of wax remains. The porcelain warms as it burns, so let it cool before moving it. Wash the jar by hand only: the gold detailing is fired onto the finished glaze, so keep it out of the dishwasher, microwave and oven.
